Best known for his large-scale earthworks, Robert Smithson visited and proposed works at various sites throughout the country before his death in 1973.  Robert Smithson in Texas looks at five projects the artist proposed throughout the state in the years 1966-73.  Join the DMA's consulting curator Leigh Arnold and Phyllis Tuchman, curator for Robert Smithson: New Jersey Earthworks (opening February 22 at the Montclair Art Museum in New Jersey), as they discuss the two exhibitions and Smithson during a live taping of The Modern Art Notes podcast with program host and nationally-known art critic, Tyler Green

Lecture tickets $5.

After 3:00 p.m. the day of the event, tickets will no longer be available online, but can be purchased at the Visitor Services Desks at the Dallas Museum of Art.
