Race tells the inspiring true story of legendary track-and-field athlete Jesse Owens. Under the guidance of Ohio State coach Larry Snyder, Owens became one of the best-remembered Olympic athletes in history, winning four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Summer Games. The film captures Owens’ struggle to overcome racism at home and abroad and the tumultuous political climate surrounding the 1936 Olympics, hosted by Nazi Germany. (This film is rated PG-13, 134 min., 2016)
