The Destruction of Memory is a documentary by Tim Slade that chronicles the efforts of heroic individuals, organizations, and governing bodies to cease the escalating destructions of cultural sites in the Middle East. Featuring interviews with the Director-General of UNESCO and the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, among others, the film proposes that the loss of these millennia-old buildings and artworks represent a cultural loss for humanity, not just for the people of that region. This film is not rated (2016, 85 min.).
This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art. and the Islamic Art Festival.
