Imagine a school where the cool kids are the chess team . . . welcome to I.S. 318. In the inspiring 2012 documentary Brooklyn Castlewe meet the members of the I.S. 318 chess team, an after-school program that has become nationally recognized with over 30 championship titles. 

Breaking all stereotypes of an inner-city low-income public school, the chess team includes some of the youngest and highest-ranked chess players in the nation. This uplifting film follows students through their challenges and triumphs to reveal the impact that the game of chess has had on their lives and community. This film is not rated (2012, 101 min.).

This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art.
