Five Seasons: The Gardens of Piet Oudolf explores the career of celebrated Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf through visits to his home gardens as well as the designer's signature public works and the landscapes that inspire him, from the desert wildflowers of West Texas to the post-industrial forests of Pennsylvania.

For a little over a year, director Thomas Piper interviewed Oudolf to find out more about his creative process, his thoughts on beauty, and the ecological implications of his ideas. While reflecting on past works like New York's High Line and Chicago's Millennium Park, Oudolf shares a peek inside his newest project in Southwest England, which he considers his best work yet. Five Seasons reveals the incredible artistry behind a beautiful garden and considers the impact that natural spaces can have on our lives. This film is not rated (2017, 76 min.).

This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art.
