A work of art has a meaning all its own, but how does its meaning change when it is placed next to other artworks? In Virtual Studio: Juxtaposed, we'll dive into context and explore how our surroundings influence our ideas about people, language, and the environment, inspired by Arthur Jafa’s Love is the Message, the Message is Death and the DMA’s To Be Determined exhibition. Experiment with media and sound, make images out of words, and look critically at how you move through the world through three weeks of prompts and project ideas that will be shared and expanded upon during live group discussions every Saturday.
