Let your imagination run wild as you create a whimsical creature inspired by one of the DMA’s most recent acquisitions, Bethany, by emerging Texas designer Nick Weddell. Mimicking the process and appearance of rug making, the punch needle embroidery technique will stimulate your senses as you create a soft, touchable work of art that transforms common materials into playful, precious forms.
Kits are free and include printed instructions, a QR code for a video tutorial, and enough supplies for one participant.
Reserved kits will be available for pick-up at the Flora Street Entrance from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. When picking up a kit, stay in your car and a DMA staff member will place the kit in your trunk.
