The Rose Family Lecture
Michael Hsu, FAIA, IIDA, and his award-winning firm produce architecture and interiors that unite people through design. The firm advocates a simple, edited design palette, using creative materials and techniques to create unexpected results. The work is rooted in hospitality and placemaking, with diverse projects that include large mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse projects, public realm design, architectural branding, single family homes, hotels, restaurants, workspaces, and bespoke furniture design. The firm has several projects in Dallas, including the Terminal at Katy Trail, which is currently under construction. Notable built projects include the Uchi family of restaurants, South Congress Hotel, Montrose Collective, MKT, LINE Austin Hotel, and Shake Shack’s corporate headquarters. MHOA’s outstanding body of work has received numerous national and regional design awards.
