Summer Art Camp: Design Studio

What do a T-shirt logo, an iPhone, and a lamp have in common? They all started off as a design in someone’s imagination. Step into our design studio and take your ideas from paper to prototype! We’ll take a crash course in the elements of design as we explore works of art in the galleries, ranging from decorative arts and furniture to wearable art and functional objects. Learn how to use line, form, shadow, and space to capture design ideas in your sketchbook, and then work in the studio to bring those designs to life. From found-object sculptures to art you can wear, you’ll be a designing pro by the end of this camp!
