Monica Ponce de Leon is the Dean of Michigan’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning. She co-founded Office dA and heads Monica Ponce de Leon Studio. With a master’s degree in Urban Design from the Harvard GSD, she also became a professor at the GSD and the Director of the Digital Lab. She has been honored by the Architectural League, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Ponce de Leon’s practice has received over sixty design awards, including the AIA’s Institute Honor Award for Architecture, Honor Award for Design Excellence, Wallpaper Design Awards, the AIA/Committee on the Environment’s Top Ten Green Projects, five I.D. Magazine Annual Design Review Awards and eight Progressive Architecture Awards.
