Summer Art Camp: Beyond Canvas

When is a canvas not just a canvas? When an artist transforms it into images of faraway lands, dashing heroes, larger than life animals, and splashes of pure color! Go beyond the canvas in this camp focused on the joys of paint. Sketch from works of art in the Museum's galleries and then take on the challenge of new ideas and materials to create your own inspired canvas. Experiment with watercolor and tempera, transform 3-D objects to 2-D pictures, mix a personalized color palette, and more on your path to painting perfection.
