Late Night Film: Best in Show

In this semi-improvised satire, a camera crew follows several trainers and handlers, and their award-winning dogs, as they prepare for the prestigious and fiercely competitive Mayflower Kennel Club Dog Show. A trophy wife returns to the dog show to defend the title of her champion Poodle, two neurotic yuppies crack under the pressure of a lost dog toy, and an aspiring ventriloquist hopes for victory with his Blood Hound, Hubert. In the ultimate expression of dog owners mirroring their pets, actor-director Christopher Guest presents a humorous look at the diverse range of human archetypes.
