Opening with a sequence at the 1964 World's Fair in New York, this film presents an optimistic look at a possible future much like those imagined in world's fair displays. A young visitor to the fair, aspiring inventor Frank Walker, discovers a futuristic and utopian alternate dimension called Tomorrowland, where the best and brightest have created a better world. Years later we find the boy grown into a brilliant recluse whose spirit has been broken by the all-too-real decline of civilization. When a science-minded teen comes across a lapel pin that transports her to Tomorrowland, she tracks Walker down, seeking answers about this mysterious and wondrous place. The two set off on a quest to secure the hopeful future they have seen in Tomorrowland. (This film is rated PG, 130 min., 2015)
