Late Night Film: Stargate

When a mysterious artifact is discovered in modern-day Egypt, professor and unlikely hero Daniel Jackson unlocks a code that turns it into an interstellar gateway—a stargate. Jackson teams up with a tough retired Army colonel, Jack O’Neil, and together they travel through the portal to find themselves on a distant Egypt-like planet ruled by a despotic warlord, Ra. Their only chance for a safe return to Earth is to incite the planet’s inhabitants to rebellion and overthrow Ra.  This film is rated PG-13 (1994, 116 min.)
