Late Night Talk: The Art of Making Monsters

From Frankenstein to Star Wars, many of cinema's most memorable creatures came to life through the vision and ingenuity of special effects makeup artists. Join Meredith Johns, artist, self-proclaimed "gore girl," and co-owner of Austin's Hawgfly Productions, for a look at how movie monsters are designed and created with prosthetics and fx makeup. Johns will re-create a classic monster look on stage while discussing how the art of special effects makeup contributes to character and world building in films.
