The 2017 film Transpose brings together powerful personal stories to explore the extraordinary challenges and triumphs of transgender people as they transition from the gender assigned to them at birth to living the life that they have envisioned for themselves. Filmed with webcams, cell phones, and other personal recording devices, each interview captures courage, resolve, and the universal desire to be true to yourself.

In this 2018 follow-up film, we check back in with some of the contributors and their families. This presentation features a special introduction by Arttitude Board Member Krista De La Rosa. This film is not rated (2018, 25 minutes).

Transpose Extended is a production of Arttitude, a Dallas-based nonprofit that serves to unite the LGBTQ+ and diverse community, local artists, academic researchers, and public and private organizations with the goal of inciting positive change and equality for all through art shows, music events, and other artistic endeavors.

This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of ArtFor National Pride Month, join us for a Late Night celebration of arts and culture in the DFW LGBTQ community.
