For centuries Istanbul has been inhabited by stray cats who wander in and out of the lives of the people who live there. In her 2017 box office hit Kedi, Turkish for "cat," Director Ceyda Torun crafts a portrait of her hometown through the eyes of seven cats who live out their lives among its bustling streets and shops. The result is a love letter to the regal animal and to the ancient city itself. This film is not rated (2017, 79 min.).

This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art.
