Gallery Talk: Sheila Hicks: Secret Structures, Looming Presence

DMA curators Dr. Michelle Rich and Dr. Katherine Brodbeck will talk about a collaborative exhibition between the Arts of the Americas and Contemporary Art departments of work by artist, designer, and weaver Sheila Hicks.

Sheila Hicks: Secret Structures, Looming Presence pairs works from the DMA's collection of ancient Andean art with a selection of Hicks's loom-woven, wrapped, twisted, and knotted fiberworks, offering a fresh examination of textile traditions through time.
