Summer Art Camp: Runway Round the World

Ages: 9–12
Teacher: Carolyn Marco

Walk the catwalk from Dallas to Delhi, Paris to Peru, in a round-the-world exploration of wearable art. Find inspiration in beadwork from Nigeria, batik from Indonesia, elaborate kimono from Japan, and colorful kente cloth from Ghana, and then create your own global looks. Try your hand at tie-dye, beadwork, embroidery, and more. Please note: Sewing skills will not be taught in this camp.
