Houston-based artist Trenton Doyle Hancock creates prints, drawings, and collaged felt paintings that work together to portray an unfolding narrative. Hancock was featured in the 2000 and 2002 Whitney Biennial exhibitions, becoming one of the youngest artists in history to participate in this prestigious survey, and his From a Legend to a Choir is part of the Cowboys Stadium Art Program. Trenton Doyle Hancock's solo exhibition, Work While It Is Day...For When Night Cometh No Man Can Work, opens September 10 at Dunn and Brown Contemporary in Dallas.
Jaap van Zweden begins his third season as Music Director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in September. Under his leadership, the orchestra has received rave reviews, and he has been invited to guest conduct some of the top orchestras in the world. Concurrently with his post in Dallas, van Zweden is Music Director of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the Royal Flemish Philharmonic Orchestra of Belgium.
