Selected Shorts returns to the Dallas Museum of Art with an evening of stories devoted to new friends, chosen family, and the sometimes fraught stages in between. Actors of stage and screen perform funny, moving, captivating short fiction about finding and holding on to your people. Tony Award–winning actors Michael Cerveris and John Benjamin Hickey join Cindy Cheung to bring stories about friendship to life on stage. Promotional Partner: KERA

Cindy Cheung’s many television and film credits include The Flight AttendantThirteen Reasons WhyHouse of Cardsand Homeland. On stage Cheung has been seen in numerous productions, including Catch As Catch CanTiny Beautiful Things, The Seagull and her self-penned solo show, Speak Up Connie, directed by BD Wong. Cheung is a recipient of a 2022 Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theatre.

John Benjamin Hickey won a Tony Award for his performance in The Normal Heart. and received a Tony nomination for The Inheritance. Other Broadway appearances include CabaretThe Crucible, and Six Degrees of Separation. His screen credits include an Emmy-nominated performance in The Big CManhattanThe Good WifeThe Good Fight and many more. Hickey recently directed the hit Broadway revival of Plaza Suite starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Michael Cerveris won Tony awards for his performances in Assassins and Fun Home. Additional Broadway credits include Evita, Sweeney ToddTitanic, and Who's Tommy. His screen credits include The Gilded Age, FringeTreme, and The Good Wife.
