Please join us for a conversation with Dr. Vivian Li, The Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art, and artist John McAllister, the inaugural recipient of the Dallas ArtPrize.

Presented by Dallas Art Fair and generously sponsored by Bank of America, the Dallas ArtPrize is a new annual award recognizing an artist whose work makes a significant contribution to the cultural and intellectual landscape of contemporary art. The $20,000 unrestricted prize is awarded each spring to support a past Dallas Art Fair participant whose practice reflects both artistic maturity and the promise of lasting influence.

The 2026 recipient, John McAllister (born 1973, Louisiana), lives and works in Florence, Massachusetts. His work has been exhibited internationally and is included in major museum collections, including the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and the Rubell Family Collection, Miami.

Dr. Li will join McAllister in conversation, bringing her expertise in postwar and contemporary art to a discussion of his practice and its place within landscape painting today.

Space is limited. Please register for the free talk here.
