Journey Through Pompeii: Masterpieces from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples brings the story of the ancient Roman city to life through over 160 works preserved in startling detail by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE. Featuring treasures from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), this landmark exhibition reveals the artistic, cultural, and everyday life of ancient Pompeii and cities and towns across the Bay of Naples. Discover frescoes featuring captivating mythological narratives and imaginative architectural designs, intricate floor mosaics and sculptures, finely crafted household furnishings, luxury items, and intimate domestic artifacts, preserved for nearly 2,000 years. This unique material record invites visitors to have an encounter with a vibrant society just before its sudden destruction.

Journey Through Pompeii: Masterpieces from the National Archaeological Museum of Naples is organized by the Dallas Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Frist Art Museum and National Archaeological Museum of Naples, with the support of MondoMostre. This exhibition is co-presented by PNC Bank and Texas Instruments.
