This workshop is intended for community members who are blind or visually impaired.
Each October, in celebration of Art Beyond Sight Awareness Month, the Dallas Museum of Art partners with community members and organizations to highlight the Museum's commitment to accessibility for visitors who are blind or have low vision. Through engaging programs, artist spotlights, and interactive gallery activations, the Museum fosters inclusive experiences that promote meaningful connections with art.
Program Description: Explore the DMA's collection and discover how color theory and patterns can inspire and elevate your personal style and everyday life. Join Erica Kress and Jhosselin Sosa for a morning of art, creativity, and community. Participants will explore works of art through tactile materials and guided discussion before heading to the Center for Creative Connections studio to create a mood board inspired by their gallery experience.
