Dallas, TX—May 28, 2025—This summer, the Dallas Museum of Art is turning up the heat on creativity with an exciting lineup of hands-on, minds-on programs designed to spark imagination in guests of all ages. Whether you're a budding Picasso or just looking for a cool way to beat the heat, there's something inspiring waiting around every corner.

The Museum is kicking off the summer months with a full day of vibrant, free family fun during a celebration of the titular artist featured in the exhibition Marisol: A Retrospective. Venezuelan thought leaders, musicians and scholars will join forces with the DMA for live performances, art activities, gallery talks, authentic Venezuelan cuisine and a thought-provoking panel discussion.

The DMA will celebrate national Pride Month in June alongside its neighbors in the heart of the city during the annual Dallas Arts District Pride Block Party! For this art-filled celebration of love and community, the DMA will host an event highlighting how the LGBTQ+ community has shaped the landscape of the arts throughout history. This year, the DMA is celebrating the colorful and fabulous Texas cowboy culture through partnerships with the Round-Up Saloon and the Texas Gay Rodeo Association. Grab your boots, your hat and your best Texas Pride swag for a night of dancing, music and art as big and bold as Texas!

Dallasites and bibliophiles alike can step out of the Texas sun and into the AC for Arts & Letters Live author events all summer long. In June, entrepreneur and body-acceptance advocate Katie Sturino will join Aschelle Morgan, the DMA’s Director of External Affairs, to discuss her debut publication Sunny Side Up: A Novel. In July, see the new master of horror Stephen Graham Jones talk to Dallas novelist Will Clarke about a must-have collector’s item composed of two hit novels, The Babysitter Lives and The Killer on the Road.

With back-to-school season right around the corner, the DMA is gearing up to meet school groups at the Museum and at schools through a variety of educational programs. Dallas ISD teachers have early access to Go van Gogh outreach workshops and on-site tours for the fall semester beginning August 18. Access to these offerings is available to all other districts on August 25. The DMA is also excited to once again offer a limited number of bus scholarships to support student field trips. We look forward to welcoming inquiring minds to learn more about art and creativity through these programs!

Guests can plan their journey at dma.org/calendar and learn more about DMA programs at dma.org/programs.
