Programming for Care Centers: All Access Art offers workshops that are designed for groups with various disabilities for an enjoyable and enriching art experience.
Participants visit the galleries on a theme-based tour and then return to the studio to make their own works of art. The program is free, but reservations are required and space is limited. Call 214-922-1394 or Access@dma.org to check availability and schedule a visit.
The DMA offers guided tours upon request for special education classes and groups with various disabilities. Groups enjoy a tour led by Museum staff for a one-hour experience through the Museum's collection, utilizing multisensory activities and tactile materials that foster an inclusive learning environment that engages a range of disabilities.
The Go van Gogh® Special Education program is one-hour long and is offered to mixed-age special education classes Wednesday through Friday mornings in March and April. Programs are led by Museum staff and volunteers.
At the DMA, we believe that everyone should have access to arts education, regardless of age, learning style, or disability. Our commitment to accessibility means that we strive to accommodate the needs of participants in all DMA educational experiences, regardless of their interests.
For requesting accessibility accommodations such as ASL interpretation or wheelchairs, please send an email to access@dma.org.
