Artist Wanda Koop will discuss her new exhibition Dreamline with Dr. Katherine Brodbeck, the DMA's Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, and Robert Enright, editor of the quarterly cultural magazine Border Crossings.

The latest iteration of the DMA’s ongoing Concentrations series features the work of Canadian painter Wanda Koop, whose richly colored canvases explore themes of technological glitches, unpopulated landscapes, and the ambiguous relationship between humankind and nature.

In this exhibition, titled Dreamline after an airplane model, the artist will present eight paintings of unnaturally hued land- and cityscapes as if seen from a window in the sky, conveying a sense of in-between-ness. These works, newly created for this Concentrations show, will be accompanied by preparatory paintings from 1997 to 2019 demonstrating the development of the artist’s various series over time.
