C3 Artistic Encounters: Palpable Portraiture with Giovanni Valderas

Utilizing an unconventional combination of paint and other materials, artist Giovanni Valderas invites participants to make tactile, sculpture-like portraits of their pets, loved ones, or celebrities. Join us to learn more about Valderas' unique portraiture process, which, according to the artist, creates an "intimate Interrogation" with the subject. For adults only; beginners to experts welcome. All materials are provided.

Participants are encouraged to submit a portrait digitally (JPEG or PDF) to jbigornia@DMA.org to be prepped for use during the workshop.
