About the artist:
Painter Benjamin Styer (b. 1990, Boston, Massachusetts) studied art at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. His work explores magical realism and folk art through a modern lens, tracing hidden alignments within cartoon figurines, souvenirs, and obscure cultural ephemera of his generation. He lives and works between western Massachusetts and Los Angeles.
