Before the Coffee Gets Cold: Toshikazu

Join us for Book Talk, a members-only book-club style discussion. In May, we'll discuss themes from the DMA's current exhibition Movement: The Legacy of Kineticism. Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi is set in a cafe in a hidden part of Tokyo, and the protagonists of the story are given the chance to go back in time through the cafe. The conditions are clear: they cannot move to another seat and must come back to the present before the coffee gets cold.
