Join us for a private reception celebrating the opening of Bouquets: French Still-Life Painting from Chardin to Matisse.

The exhibition explores the infusion of new spirit and meaning into floral still-life painting in 19th-century France. Featuring nearly seventy paintings by well-known artists as well as less familiar specialists in the genre, Bouquets reveals how a traditional form of painting was reinvented and made new by artists across the 19th century. Bouquets is co-organized by the DMA and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

A reservation is required. Please make your reservation by Wednesday, October 15, by e-mail to partners@DMA.org or by phone at 214-922-1247.

Presentation of a current DMA Partner card at the Main Entrance admits two adults. The additional guest fee is $25 (charge assessed upon reservation request and non-refundable after October 21). The guest must be accompanied by a DMA Partner.

Parking, lecture seating, and/or light fare are always on a first-come, first-served basis. While we try to indicate times for lectures and tours, please know that we cannot reserve space ahead of time. Our events are generally very well attended; we occasionally run out of lecture seats and parking very early into an event, so please keep this in mind when making your plans.
