Hopi Visions: Journey of the Human Spirit features a large mural painting by artists Michael Kabotie and Delbridge Honanie that narrates the history of the Hopi people, from the mythic emergence, through the arrival of Europeans, to the rebirth of Hopi traditions in the information age. The six-panel mural, on view for the first time outside Arizona, is complemented by ancient and contemporary objects from the DMA's collection.

Artist Ed Kabotie, son of Michael Kabotie, and Museum of Northern Arizona Curator of Anthropology Dr. Kelley Hays-Gilpin will talk about the exhibition and the rich history of Hopi art from antiquity to the present.
