The Hundred-Food Journey is a story about food bringing people together. Set in a village in the southern French countryside, it stars Helen Mirren as Madam Mallory, the proud owner of a Michelin star restaurant celebrated for its traditional French cuisine. When a brilliant young chef, Hassan Kadam, and his family open an Indian restaurant across the street, it threatens the stability of Madam Mallory’s world, and she works tirelessly to put them out of business. With the help of a sous chef who has captured Hassan’s heart, he begins cooking for Madam Mallory and tries to find commond ground. This film is rated PG (2014, 122 min.).
