In this animated take on Arthurian lore, an 11-year-old squire nicknamed Wart is befriended by an absentminded but well-meaning wizard, Merlin, who claims he will lead the boy to his destiny. When Wart attends a jousting tournament to help his incompetent knight brother, he comes across the legendary sword in the stone and accidently becomes England’s next ruler. This film is rated G (1963, 75 min.).
This film is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art.
