This year marks the 35th anniversary of the DMA’s Concentrations series of project-based solo exhibitions representing emerging and international artists. For Concentrations 60: Lucie Stahl, the artist's first solo exhibition in a US museum, Stahl presents a selection of large-format scanned images that explore the trappings of modern-day consumer culture, from branding to addiction and excess. Stahl's resin-encased images are presented in an immersive installation featuring a number of her “Prayer Wheels,” composed of beer cans and oil drums that can be spun by the viewer. Join the artist and former DMA curator Gabriel Ritter for a walk-through of the exhibition.
This talk is part of Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art.
