Few Americans realize that much of what we claim to know about our past—and about the study of the past—is myth rather than fact. Join University of Vermont History Professor Dr. Mark A. Stoler to explore some commonly held myths and what the study of history actually reveals. Stoler will touch on pivotal moments in US history and illustrate why historians are, almost by definition, skeptics.
