Dive into the pop culture phenomena of retro, nostalgia, and retro-futurism with Dr. Elizabeth Guffey, Professor of Art History at Purchase College and author of Retro: The Culture of Revival and Crafting Yesterday's Tomorrows: Retro-Futurism, Steampunk, and the Problem of Making in the Twenty-First Century. Drawing on art and design, Dr. Guffey will discuss society's collective fascination with romanticizing the past and imagining the future.
