Latina-Jewish multidisciplinary artist Joy Reyes uses the transformative power of art to bridge the gaps between cultures, highlighting social issues and fostering a sense of community. She is a self-taught artist who has had her work exhibited all over Texas, including in many fine art galleries, such as Daisha Board Gallery and 400 Houston St Gallery, and in multiple Dallas community art venues, such as the Latino and Oak Cliff cultural centers. She had her most recent solo show in early 2023 at Daisha Board Gallery, where she is currently represented. In 2022 she received the Peoples Choice Award at the Fort Worth Biennial, which was juried by Lilia Kudelia at the Fort Worth Community Art Center, where Reyes recently had her Three Women Show.
