Take a unique and unexpected look at the Museum’s collection with a pop culture twist. 

Explore the DMA as a member of King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table! Hunt for the finest shrubbery, scour the Museum for the bravest knights, and decorate an illuminated manuscript with all the fancy and frills of a medieval text. 

THE TALE OF SIR ROBIN 

All night, Chilton Studio 
Celebrate the artistic medium that dominated the medieval era by painting an illuminated manuscript.  

Supplies are limited; first come, first served.  

WE WANT . . . A SHRUBBERY! 

5:00–8:45 p.m., Level 2 
In order to pass through the woods alive, you must help King Arthur find the finest shrubbery in our European Art galleries—or face the wrath of the Knights Who Say Ni! 

The first 100 visitors to complete the activity will win a prize. 

MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL  

5:30 p.m., Horchow Auditorium 
Follow King Arthur and his newly recruited Knights of the Round Table on a quest to find the Holy Grail in this satire of Arthurian legend. Get your coconuts ready, reaffirm your favorite color, and join us for this comedy classic.  

This film is rated PG (1975, 92 min.). 

CAMELOT IS A SILLY PLACE 

6:00–8:30 p.m., Hamon Atrium 
Rock out as DJ Yeahdef spins a set by Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s British Rock financiers: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and Elton John. 

KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE 

6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. 
Join Dallas Comedy Club for a hilarious journey as they recruit Knights throughout the DMA’s collection to join the Round Table. 

Limited to 30 people per tour. Reserve your spot by picking up a ticket at the Will Call Desk at 6:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. respectively. 

NONE SHALL PASS 

7:00 p.m., Hamon Atrium 
Watch Schola Saint George, scholars of the chivalric martial arts, demonstrate medieval tournament-style feats of arms and hear about historical swordsmanship practices and how they show up in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  

’TIS BUT A SCRATCH 

7:30–8:30 p.m., Hamon Atrium  
Get up close and personal with medieval weaponry, armor, and the modern-day fighters who use it with Schola Saint George.
