Summer Art Camp: Renaissance Kids: Music and Art with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra

Become a modern-day minstrel! The DMA joins with the Dallas Symphony in this camp to introduce children to the artistry of medieval and Renaissance culture. Learn the art of setting poetry to music, create illuminated manuscripts, make an instrument out of recycled materials, play in a musical minstrel ensemble, and much more. Take a backstage tour of the Meyerson Symphony Hall, meet a professional musician, and study the origins of our modern orchestral instruments. We’ll create a fabulous finale to the week with an exhibition and musical performance for family and friends!
