Toddler Tuesdays: Party at the Pond

Toddler Tuesdays programming is specifically designed for children ages five and under, but all ages are welcome! This September, splish and splash your way through the Museum as we explore artworks about water and pond animals! Create your own pond painting, search through bodies of water on our family tour, meet real-life animals from the pond, and more.

art-making activity
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Tower Studio
Drop in and create your own pond painting using washable paint and tissue paper.

plip-plop play stations
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Founders Room
Make a splash and meet pond pals at our sensory play stations. Create a home for rubber ducks using playdough and natural materials, search for turtles in a water bead sensory bin, play a frog counting game, and more!

Pals from the Pond with Creepy Critters
11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Eagle Family Plaza
Calling all animal lovers! Join Creepy Critters as they showcase reptiles and amphibians straight from the pond. Handlers will introduce our animal friends, teach us about them, and then show children how to use gentle hands to touch our new pond pals. 

Water Can Be... family tour
12:15–12:45 p.m., Meet at the Guest Services Desk
Rivers, lakes, and ponds—oh, my! Go with the flow as we search for water and find out what's in the pond on this interactive tour of the Museum's collection led by Education staff. Tours will be offered in English and Spanish. 

story time with the Dallas Public Library
1:00–1:30 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Listen to enchanting stories, sing songs, jump around, and learn with our librarian friends.
