What makes a cultural capital? The Edith O’Donnell Institute of Art History is pleased to present a conversation with Dr. Alessandra Comini, Distinguished Professor of Art History Emerita at Southern Methodist University, and Dr. Richard Brettell, Founding Director of the O’Donnell Institute at UT Dallas. Focusing on Vienna and Paris, Comini and Brettell will introduce each city’s great artists, musicians, authors, scientists, dancers, and architects. A lively debate will challenge us to look anew at our own thriving arts scene in Dallas. A wine reception will follow in the O’Donnell Institute Research Center at the DMA.
