Zine Club: The Soul in Stitching

Gee's Bend quilts are often called "my way" quilts, and they put a unique spin on a familiar household item. Patch together your personal narrative from fabric, paper, and thread as an homage to the remarkable Gee's Bend quilters.

Zine Club is a studio workshop series for high school students that invites you to respond to works of art in the DMA's collection through art making and writing. Work created during Zine Club is published in a zine—a self-published book of original creations—that will be circulated in the Museum. Zine Club is completely free and snacks are provided!
