2026 Spring Break Family Fun
Spring Break programs are held daily March 18–20.

DMA Spring Break—where stars align and creativity shines! Spark, connect, and create during these fun-filled days of art-making activities, story times, sensory play, and gallery activities for families, all inspired by our current exhibition Constellations: Contemporary Jewelry at the Dallas Museum of Art

ANYTIME ACTIVITIES

Celestial Scavenger Hunt
11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Guest Services Desks
Explore the Museum on an adventure inspired by the stars! Find your zodiac sign’s special artwork, then head to the galleries to discover it in person and make your own celestial connections along the way.

Family Gallery Guides
11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Guest Services Desks
Pick up a kid-friendly guide and learn about selected works of art in the DMA’s collection.

C3 Tower Takeover
11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Tower Gallery
Make your way up to Level 4 to explore our temporary Center for Creative Connections (C3) space. Make your own mini-sculpture, read a book, play with toys, and more!


SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES

Little Lights Glow Play
11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Horchow Auditorium
Step into a twinkly, glow-in-the-dark play space, where tiny adventurers light up like the stars! Join in at one of our glow play stations just for children ages 5 and under.

Story Time Tour
11:30 a.m., Meet at the main Guest Services Desk
From tall tales and legends to daring adventures and fairy tales, every work of art has a story! Join DMA Education staff for an interactive story time themed around artworks from the Museum’s collection.

Design Your Spark
1:00–4:00 p.m., Hamon Atrium
This interactive activity was created by students from Jesus Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard as part of their year-long partnership with the Dallas Museum of Art. Inspired by the exhibition Constellations: Contemporary Jewelry at the Dallas Museum of Art, students explored materials, meaning, and personal expression to design an engaging, hands-on experience for visitors of all ages.

Art-Making Activity: Galaxy Lab
1:00-4:00 p.m., Tower Studio
Find your inspiration in the night sky! Explore the magic of the cosmos as you layer vibrant pastels to create your own glowing galaxy. Blend, smudge, and swirl with Q-tips and then take home your own dreamy, star-filled universe.

Exploration Station
1:00–4:00 p.m., Founders Room
Experiment, tinker, and play at one of our interactive sensory stations. Create colorful patterns on light tables, design simple jewelry, dig for hidden treasure in a sensory bin, and more!

Sensory Haven
1:00–4:00 p.m., Level M2
Need a place to take a break? Drop in throughout the day to relax and explore quiet activities. All ages are welcome.
