Did you know that every school year the DMA partners with one DISD middle school to create a one-of-a-kind curriculum for students? The DMA Middle School Partnership launched in 2019 and has served over 300 student-artists since our first classroom visit.
We'll create a series of customized workshops for your students and visit three times in the fall and three times in the spring. At least one session will feature a local artist who will come and create with your students!
Art teacher Karen Colbert-Rolle's advanced 8th grade students at D. A. Hulcy STEAM Middle School were the 2024–2025 partners. Over the year, students explored identity, color theory, social justice, printmaking, and working in 3D.
