Middle School Partnership

Did you know that every school year the DMA partners with one Dallas ISD middle school to create a one-of-a-kind curriculum for students? The DMA Middle School Partnership launched in 2019 and has served over 300 student-artists since our first classroom visit.

We'll create a series of customized workshops for your students and visit three times in the fall and three times in the spring. At least one session will feature a local artist who will come and create with your students!

Art teacher Karen Colbert-Rolle's advanced 8th grade students at D.A. Hulcy STEAM Middle School were the 2024–2025 partners. Over the year, students explored identity, color theory, social justice, printmaking, and working in 3D.

Your school could be the next partner school! Applications open in April for the following school year.
