Arturo's Preschool is a free program for preschool, homeschool, and daycare groups serving children ages 3–6. Take an up-close look at a work of art, read a featured picture book, and try out games and movement activities connected to artworks. Then explore ideas through an art-making activity.
Squiggle, Dribble, Splat!
Drip, drip, drop—let's find art with paint that plops! Explore our newly installed Postwar and Contemporary galleries and learn about artists who traded in their paintbrush for new ways to create. In the studio, make your own experimental artwork!
Dancing Feet
Stomp your feet, clap your hands, everyone's ready for a DMA dance! Join as we search the Arts of Africa galleries for a dance-inspired artwork. Explore art through movement and then create your own musical masterpiece.
Bug Bash
What's all the buzz about? Art, of course! Scurry, creep, and crawl through the galleries as we hunt for bugs in art. In the studio, create your own un-bee-lievable bug art.
