Self-guided school group visits are available during regular Museum hours: Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The DMA is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Starting in September, new per-student fees will help the DMA support its educational programs and ensure equitable learning experiences for all students who visit the Museum. Our school visits are always free for Dallas ISD schools. Bus scholarships are also available for all Title 1 schools. Check out our pricing for self-guided visits below:
Self-Guided Visit Fees (Permanent Collection)

| Required Chaperone (1 chaperone is required for every 10 students) | Free |
| Additional Chaperone | $5 per person |
| Add Ticketed Special Exhibition | + $5 per person |
PLEASE NOTE: Payment is due with a final head count at least two weeks before the visit. Payment options will be sent with confirmation email. No changes to head count or tour theme will be accepted after the two-week deadline.

- Request: Submit three different potential Museum visit dates using the form linked below at least two weeks in advance.
- Schedule: We’ll schedule the first available date and confirm your visit within ten business days from request. If all dates are unavailable, we will contact you via email.
Arrival: On the day of your self-guided visit, assign a leader to check in at the Guest Services kiosk upon your group’s arrival.
